Using Secure Browser

Modified on Fri, 10 Apr at 10:48 AM

Before launching Secure Browser, all applications and programs need to be fully closed.

Although Secure Browser will automatically disable other browsers and applications once launched, background processes may still run and interfere with the secure testing environment.

To prevent this, please close all applications and programs in advance, before opening Secure Browser.

Entering the candidate weblink results in a 404 error (page not found)

Check that the link has been entered exactly as provided. Even small errors will result in a 404 page.

  • Where possible, copy the full link directly from the attendance list and paste it into a supported web browser (Chrome, Safari, or Edge).

  • If the link is entered manually (in a web browser or Secure Browser), ensure careful attention to:
    • Correct capitalisation
    • Similar-looking characters (e.g. capital “O” vs zero “0”)
