Network Requirements
ISE Digital is adaptive. This means the difficulty of the questions will change depending on each candidate’s level. For this to work, the exam computer must stay connected to the internet during the whole exam. The system will bring the right questions from the exam bank in real time.
Your exam centre must set up and test the internet connection before the exam. The internet must be stable and reliable for all candidates. For every 30 candidates taking the exam at the same time, the centre needs at least 5 Mbps download and 1Mbps upload speed.
Note: A wired Ethernet connection is more reliable than Wi-Fi.
Hardware
Desktop or laptop (Chromebooks and tablets are not permitted)
Minimum screen size: 13” with a resolution of 1920x1080 (Windows), 1920x1200 (Mac) or higher.
Scaling needs to be set at 100%
Software
To make sure the exam is secure, you must download and install the Secure Browser. You may need administration rights to do this.
Go to pages.talview.com/tsb.
Download and open the file.
You may see a message saying the publisher is not verified. This is normal.
Click Run to continue.
The Secure Browser will open and you will see a message that the installation is finished.
Headsets
Candidates need to have suitable wired headsets with:
noise cancellation
a microphone that points towards the mouth and
volume control.
For hygiene, we recommend using sanitary covers on the headsets if the centre provides the headsets.
