Requesting Reasonable Adjustments & SEN Arrangements

Modified on Mon, 7 Jul at 12:46 PM

We are committed to providing an inclusive exam experience for all candidates. If you or your candidate has a special educational need, disability, or other condition requiring reasonable adjustments, please read the guidance below before booking the exam.

When and How to Request Adjustments

Reasonable adjustments must be requested at the time of booking or as early as possible. This ensures we have enough time to review the request and make any necessary arrangements.

Booking via My Trinity (including all digital exams)

If you are booking your exam using the My Trinity platform:

  • During the booking process, you will be asked: "Do you require any adjustments to the exam due to special needs or a disability?"

  • If you select 'yes', you must also complete and submit a Special Needs Provision Form.

  • The form should be downloaded from our SEN and Access Arrangements page and emailed to the address specified on the form.

  • Please ensure you submit the form as soon as possible after booking.

Booking via Music Online Booking (MOB) - UK and Ireland only

If you are booking your exam through the Music Online Booking platform:

What Types of Adjustments Are Available?

Adjustments are tailored to individual needs and may include:

  • Extra time for performance or supporting tests

  • Use of accessible formats (e.g. large print)

  • Adapted instruments or seating arrangements

  • Alternative locations or quiet spaces

All requests will be reviewed in line with Trinity's Reasonable Adjustment and Special Consideration Policy.

Important Notes

  • Exam adjustment requests must be supported by appropriate medical or educational evidence.

  • All adjustments are subject to approval and may require consultation with Trinity staff or representatives.

  • We may not be able to accommodate late requests.

  • Examiners cannot act on information provided only on the day of the exam.

Trinity is committed to ensuring equal access to our qualifications. Please reach out early so we can provide the best possible support.
