Where and when can I take an exam?

Modified on Mon, 7 Jul at 12:46 PM

Trinity offers two main delivery routes for Music Performance exams worldwide:

  • Face-to-face sessions at our public exam centres
  • Digital Grades & Diplomas (online video submission)

With an extensive network of public exam centres worldwide, you can choose a convenient location and date that suits you.

Use the guidance below to find available venues, booking windows, and submission deadlines.

Face-to-Face Public Centre Exams

  • Exam session dates vary by country and by individual centre to increase flexibility. Most regions hold between one and three public exam periods per year.
  • Additional sessions may run outside these core periods in some locations.
  • Booking windows: Each session has a published closing date.

Digital Music Grades & Diplomas

  • Available for: Initial–Grade 8 and ATCL/LTCL performance diplomas.
  • Candidates may book a digital exam at any time of year – there is no fixed deadline; you book when your performance video is ready to submit.
  • Digital Rock & Pop performance grades follow the same 24/7 video-submission model.
