Why choose Trinity College London?

Trinity College London has been a globally trusted exam board for over 150 years, supporting and inspiring performers worldwide. If you're interested in hosting Trinity exams, your organisation or teaching practice can apply to become a Registered Exam Centre (REC).

You’ll set your own schedule, choose face-to-face, fully digital formats, or a combination of both, and offer candidates prestigious, internationally recognised qualifications in Classical & Jazz and Rock & Pop, backed by Trinity’s innovative, learner-centred support.

Why Trinity for Music Qualifications?

  • Access to competitive discounts on exam fees and publication purchases.
  • Syllabuses are created with instrument-specific professionals, building authentic skills.
  • Repertoire spans multiple genres, including international works and an increasing number of pieces by female composers.
  • Rock & Pop exams feature real songs you can hear on the radio.
  • Technical work and supporting tests focus on fundamental, instrument-specific technique.
  • A choice of supporting tests (e.g. improvisation, musical knowledge) lets candidates perform to their strengths.
