Important Information for Candidates: What to Bring on Exam Day

All exam information can be found in the candidate's (or parent's/guardian's) MyTrinity account. This includes:

  • the date of the exam

  • the exam location 

The exam centre will inform candidates about the arrival time at centre and the exam time. 


What Candidates Should Bring

Candidates should make sure to bring the following on exam day:

  • The filled in topic notes

  • A valid ID document


Accepted Forms of ID

Candidates must show their ID when when they arrive at the exam centre.
If candidates are
 under the age of 18 and do not have photo ID, the exam centre will confirm their identity.


Valid ID includes:

  • Current valid passport

  • Current valid National ID card, residence permit, or equivalent with a photo

  • Current valid full photo driving licence

  • Current valid Biometric Residence Permit (with photo)

  • Current valid Residence Permit (with photo)

  • Current valid Application Registration Card or Standard Acknowledgement Letter

  • Travel document issued by the United Nations or Red Cross

  • Valid vignette attached to an Immigration Status Document or a GV3 document


What Candidates Cannot Bring into the Exam

  • Any paper (except topic notes).

  • Mobile phone, tablet, or smartwatch.

  • Audio or video recording equipment.

  • Dictionary.


Note: Eating is not allowed during the exam.
